Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Tavelino mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the App.

Food, allergen, and dietary notice. Recipes and labels in Tavelino, including "vegetarian", "vegan", "dairy-free", "gluten-free", and "nut-free", are generated automatically and provided on a best-effort basis. They may be incomplete or wrong. If you have a food allergy, dietary restriction, or medical condition, always read the full ingredient list and verify it yourself before cooking or eating. Tavelino is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice.

Using the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own, non-commercial cooking. You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it in unauthorized ways, or use it to break the law.

Anonymous use

Tavelino does not require an account. You are responsible for activity that occurs on your device.

Subscriptions & purchases

The App is free to use with ads. Optional paid upgrades remove ads and unlock premium features, including the Sous Chef voice cooking companion and live recipe search. Purchases and subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, renew automatically (where applicable) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies; we cannot issue store refunds directly. To request one, use your Apple or Google purchase history.

Fair use & usage limits

Some features rely on paid, third-party AI and search services that cost us money each time they run. To keep Tavelino sustainable and available to everyone, premium features, including the Sous Chef companion and live recipe search, are provided on a fair-use basis and are subject to reasonable per-user usage limits. If you reach a limit, that feature pauses until your limit resets, while the rest of the App keeps working. These limits are part of the service as offered.

Not an unlimited service. Paid upgrades remove ads and unlock premium features. They are not sold as unlimited, unmetered, or any guaranteed volume of AI or search usage. Reaching a fair-use limit is expected behavior, not a defect or a failure of the service, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund. We may adjust these limits over time to keep the service running reliably for everyone.

Recipe content & third parties

Recipes are gathered from publicly available cooking websites and are shown with credit and a link to the original author and source. Tavelino does not own, and claims no ownership of, any recipe content. Recipes, photographs, and related materials belong to their respective authors and sources, who retain all rights; we present them for your personal, informational use and to point you to the original source. If you are a recipe creator or rights holder and would like your content credited differently or removed, email [email protected] and we will address it promptly. The App also relies on third-party services (such as AI, hosting, search, and advertising providers) that have their own terms.

No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of recipe or ingredient information.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tavelino will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any harm arising from your reliance on recipes, ingredient identification, or dietary labels.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
